Sophie’s dog walks was established in 2014. It is a small Eco-friendly, independent Bath business.
I offer a reliable and professional dog walking service in Bath, Somerset (UK). I will collect and deliver your dog from your home. I offer two long walks a day each of these are approximately one hour long (please see timetable below). My walks will give your dog an exciting walk that will provide stimulation and exercise. I try to vary the walks each day to keep us all interested. I always ensure that the dogs are all safe, happy and under control. I always make sure that the group is well matched and that they are all friends.
All dogs are walked personally by me, I don’t employ any staff. This enables me to build up an excellent relationship with each individual dog and owner.
I have a 100% electric van with heating and air conditioning. The van is caged so each dog has their own space and it also has a window so they are not transported in the dark.
My vehicle has an on-board electric shower so I am able to return all the dogs mud-free to their houses. I wash their feet and towel dry them.
I have been a dog owner for over 35 years, so I have plenty of experience handling dogs. I currently have my dog Molly who comes on some of the walks with us.
I am a trained dog first aider and carry a first aid kit with me on our walks.
I have attended ‘Dog Body Language Talk’ and I have gained ‘Level 2 in Dog Body Language and Training’ with Avon Dog Services, Training & Behavioural Specialist.
I use 100% biodegradable poop bags. Not only do I pick up after my own group I also pick up any other poops that I see.
I have dog walkers insurance with Cliverton which covers me to walk up to 6 dogs at any one time and to transport them in my vehicle. I also have insurance cover to be a key holder for your property.
I am also DBS checked.

Daily Walking Timetable
(Approximate timings depending on traffic and distance between dog collections - give or take 15 minutes either side of all times!)
MORNING WALK
Between 9.00 - 11.30 (collect dogs, group walk and return dogs back to their homes)
Collection Area: Bathwick and Widcombe
LUNCHTIME WALK
Between 11.30 - 2.15 (collect dogs, group walk and return dogs back to their homes)
Collection Area: London Road, Camden, Fairfield, Larkhall and Lansdown
